So what you forget to mention is that only 36% of the youngest voted and more than 80% of the oldest. So its their own fault, these lazy fuckers

Let's not bait in terms of age disparity politics. It entirely negates any reasonable argument you're trying to make. There are both legitimate reasons for staying within and leaving the EU. However I voted remain on the basis that I know what membership of the Eu entails. I have though accepted that we are leaving, but am extremely disappointed that we have yet to determine exactly what that means. Irrespectective of political belief, it defies logic that we might disregard any current trading position for wishful thinking, and in that regard brexit is proving to be a failure. We are yet to experience (and I, even as a remainer wish to see) a real strategy for a post EU UK.

Nook Luvin Hers Stiff

Someone ran the numbers, and about a month ago the UK reached a tipping point whereby enough old people had died since the vote, and enough teenagers had reached voting age, that remain supporters would now outnumber leave supporters even if no one had changed their minds in 2 1/2 years

Gaurav Aghi

Ok, at this point everyone is stupid and senile and they just should build a giant computer to make the decisions.

Raluca Teodorescu

That's actually pretty accurate view on 18-24 year olds.

Zainab Abbas Chai Wala

There’s a clear pattern here: people that remember how it was before the EU want to exit from it.

Carmen Helene Malou Hansson

I can't believe some people think old people shouldn't vote because "they are closer to death". They still care about the world, they want what is best for their kids and they are the wisest age group. And have you spoken to a 20 year old westerner lately? They are still children.

Carrington Keys

18-24 are babies to the real world

Amber Elizabeth Lewis

It's called the Dunning-Kruger effect, young inexperienced people don't know what knowledge they are lacking and thus think they know everything best. Some of them outright genuinly believing they are somehow a 'better' generation than the previous one and more 'qualified' to vote.

Patrick J Dougherty

Politically spoken 18-24 year olds are babies, they usually (usually!) don’t have a factual opinion of politics at that age.

Sharon Harripersadh

Remember back in the day when we were taught that older people are wiser and maybe know some things that we don't? Yeah, the fuck who made that chart wasn't taught that. He was taught that uneducated and inexperienced people's opinion is equally important to educated and experienced people's opinion. He was taught that people with 20 years experience as top of their field are just "fuckin retarded nazis". He was taught he can have whatever he wants, as long as he throws a big enough hissy fit.

Cora Monteflor Pacure

What I see is the naive ruining it for the wise. Notice that people that we now consider children lean strongly one way. It's probably because a majority of them know absolutely nothing about Brexit and just poll the way their friends do so they will be accepted. You Brits got a lot to learn. Fucking morons.

Bherna C. Benasa

That is a great example of why elderly people shouldn’t be voting on such important matters. That decision has a long term effect and will effect on the lives of a lot of people. But the elderly won’t be around to face the consequences of their decisions.

Jennifer Long

The Eu always bothered me. I wish we did what switzerland did and just get the trade benefits without the rest. (Austrian btw)

The latest polls in January 2019 are 46% - Leave 54% - Stay

The older men and women are the reason that u young folks are even here and have the right to vote on issues u may or may not have any idea about but since they don't agree screw them right. Disgusting babies

Terrie Hansen

I don't see any problems here. The older people were smart enough to go and vote. The young people (like 90 % of here who shits on old peope) are so stupid that they didn't go and vote and now sitting here on this website and complaining, crying like babies about a new vote. Guess what, you had your chance but if you were that stupid, you deserve it! It clearly shows that you are not responsible enough for your own future (which you nag about all the time).
